Towards Bridging the skill gap

There is an urgent need to create skilled students to address the issue of skill –gap , which India will have to factor over the coming decades. India’s working age population is expected to scale up exponentially in the coming decade. In fact, India is likely to emerge as the largest contributor to the global working population.

Adoption of new Construction technologies are changing the whole ball game in the job market. The world’s Economic forum ‘s Future of Jobs study in 2020 had predicted that 2.1 million jobs will be created in the new specialized area such as computing, mathematics, architecture and engineering. The new jobs thus created will require altogether different skill sets. Therefore it becomes imperative to prepare future generations to thrive in the changing landscape.

In the next decade ,the future growth potential of a student will heavily depend on the ability to dramatically upskill themselves through enrolling in industry- ready courses or programs. This way India will also be able to maximize demographic dividends.
